Still Rippling...

Dear friend,

Still working on that crazy ripple afghan, and this is proof. It has lived up to its name, having been very much a lazy endeavor, taking up the entirety of the summer.  This is just what I was hoping it would become: a candy-colored blanket that I could crochet myself into, just in time to actually need it. I still have a couple of months. Maybe it will be finished by October. Fingers crossed. I'm still planning to write up a pattern for you. Fingers double crossed.

Love,

Rebekka

Looks fabulous! I started a blanket two years ago and it's still no bigger than yours.

Adorable shoes too. :-)

Blankets always seem to take forever to finish! Except maybe baby blankets... Still seems like forever though! Yours looks great :) Can't wait to see the finished product.

All I can say is that I admire that dedication. I think I knit a scarf once and that was the proudest crafting moment of my life.

Hi Rebekkah, you are seriously so pretty!
Been following your blog for some time now, but never worked up the courage to comment- Can I ask you what kind of plant that is behind you if you don't mind me asking? I've been looking for one like that for a while but don't really know where to look. Thanks so much! :)

You are so beautiful Rebekka, and so is that afghan!

Melody, hi! Thank you for saying hello! I would love to tell you about my plant, because I love it. It's called a fiddle-leaf fig, but it's not actually a fig...it's a ficus. They are so easy to maintain, you only have to water them once a week or less. You can buy young ones really small, or you can search for a tree like mine. They will grow really big if you let them!

I've enjoyed watching the process of this afghan "unfold." Now that you mention it, it could have never been anything other than candy-colored.
