Camera for sale

Dear friend,

I have decided to sell my beloved camera. After years of shooting with crop-sensor Sony DSLRs, I am ready to chart the vast, tenebrous territory of a full-frame Canon 5d. I'm actually kind of terrified!

Because my Sony a65 is so dear to me, I wanted to offer it to one of you at a special price before I list it on Craigslist. It would make me so happy to know that my camera was going to one of my blog friends!

What I'm selling is a Sony a65, along with the kit zoom lens, battery and battery charger. This particular camera was purchased in April 2012, so it's been in use for just six months. All of the photos on my blog between then and now were taken with it, as well as all the photos in my Flickr photostream, as well as this little film. That's my favorite thing about this camera...it shoots gorgeous video footage!!!

I'm also selling this lens and this lens...I almost never take off the 35mm lens...I LOVE IT! And the 50mm is also wonderful, especially for closeup shots and food photography.

If you're interested in purchasing this package, email me at rebekkaseale(at)me(dot)com, and we can discuss the details :)

Otherwise, have a great weekend!!

Love,

Rebekka

***UPDATE***
Camera is sold! So happy it's going to a good home :)

Rebekka, that's so sweet of you to offer your treasured camera to one of your readers. I would totally jump on the offer but, I already have a camera. Thanks for your generous offer : )

When I invested in a DSLR, I chose a Canon. She's a great gal, and we have shared a lot of wonderful experiences together. She's also been very durable, I've found, as I'm somewhat clumsy and often drop things that shouldn't be dropped. I drool for the 5D. It seems that everyone's in the rounds of getting one and I'm trying my best to not be green with envy! After finishing college, that will be the thing that I invest in. Surely more practical than paying things like moving expenses or saving up for student loan repayment, yes? ;)

Good luck with your new camera... And I love that you're taking special care to make sure your old one gets a good home. These little guys are more than just an electronic contraption. They're extensions of ourselves for the time that we use them. Our extra set of eyes and a piece of our heart.

My best,
Jo Farmer

P.S. How did your husband's big test go? I hope it wasn't too daunting.
